promoter)

Great pic Mike - we actually look quite sober haha. Must have been very
early !! Sam Leach (The Beatles' original promoter)

Mike, I've ran many Pink Floyd shows in the Bay Area with BGP. Pink
Floyd always opened with something awesome like that. You guys are
good. Keep it up!!! You have to forward that tune to me, My friends in So-
Cal would love it. Buy the way I've never compared anybody to Pink Floyd.

Pretty cool, Mike. For a second there I had flashbacks of sitting in
Winterland, taking in the sounds, and inbibing in waaaay to much herb
as it passed on down the isle...

I gave up on the lava lamp stuff a while ago but still really enjoyed this
version.

Sounds good. Had a few friends hear it in So-Cal, they liked it too. Very
cool.

Narley!

Great song, Mike. You guys have had such a good life, writing and
playing songs like this one.

Hi Mike: we are featuring a photo of your kit on our Flickr group, along
with the bio from your MySpace page.~Nick with Gibraltar Hardware

Mike and Jim , After hearing some of your tunes it got me rocking so I had
to take off for the Pacific and get into some surf. Your music makes me
feel young and ready to take any wave on. I parked my truck at the beach
with your tunes ripping through the air and this one young surfer thought
you guys were the rolling stones.......I told him who you were and he said
, " those dudes can wail. ".....I told him hey these guys are California boys
and the band is from New England....his response....." Radical
Dude,".       Don

You guys are great. I had a party recently and played the rocking chairs.....
all my friends loved it. My wife Lisa and I would love to fly out and go to
that benefit to listen to you guys rock out.  Thanks guys...you are loved in

VERY, VERY COOL!! GOOD OLD ROCK!
GOOD RECORDING, LIKED THE SONG,
TOOK ME BACK TO THE 70'S. GREAT JOB!!!!       BC

Great rocking sounds from a group keeping the 60's-70's alive.
Especially like the opening "Magic Jack" what a beat and great lyrics.
This group needs to be watched, could break out. Jack

If you're going to cover monster rock songs from Dylan, Hendrix, Beatles,
Stones and Joe Walsh you have to be brave and talented or else plain
stupid. Fortunately, The Rocking Chairs fall into the first of those
categories and manage to put their own mark on those clasic tracks (my
favourite is All Alomg the Watchtower) with some originality and great
musicianship. It sounds like they were enjoying themselves too. (I've
been fortunate enough to see them live and they do have a good time on
stage.) The original material is good too - mixing the new with the old is a
recipe that works well for these mature rockers. I will certainly be playing
this album on Darkhorse Radio and recommend it to all fans of the
genre. Alan www.DarkhorseRadio.com

Awesome! The Rocking Chairs sound so good and have so much fun
playing together both in the studio and live and that definitely comes thru
in their songs. Not only do they put their own awesome spins on some
classic songs but their originals also show their talent. They are on their
way to making these original songs classics as well. Congrats to them
for making another great album! I definitely recommend seeing them
live...you're sure to have a good time!!! Mindy

Firstly I must tell you how much I enjoyed listening (LOADS of times) to
"MAGIC JACK" I think you've excelled yourself with that one.  I won't go into
all the technicalities as some listeners may, when giving you feedback, I
just know what sounds great to me and has the feelgood factor and
urges me to get up of my seat and dance my socks off.  It certainly has all
those qualities and then some.  Keep up the good work and you will blow
them away, come next May in the Cavern. Kathleen

Now that's what I call...COOL !! Congrats !! Sam (Leach, The Beatles
original promoter)

Way to go! That just gives me goose bumps to see you listed with the
names in history. That is the station I listen to on my computer while I am
at work! I’ll be listening for The Rocking Chairs latest and greatest hits-
Always, Adrienne

Too cool for words, I would have loved to have been out there screaming
in the audience!  What song were you playing? About "Magic Jack,"
WOW!!!!  Another song where I can't sit still!  I am very impressed with
your first attempt at song-writing. Your musicianship is again superior
and I love the simulated "trip" with the voices in the background...  Really
cool.  "I'm serious as a heart attack!"  Stef

Woo-hoo!!!!  I must say, I think that this is one of your best songs...  You
guys really wail on this song!  Ron is incredible...What is that hanging on
Craig's microphone?  An oxygen bottle or an IV??  ;>) Stef

DAMN HOT sHAME sHAME sHAME! Randy

You could be on the radio show I have on >BBC Radio Merseyside
sometime. Spencer Leigh

I'm trying to verbally promote the RC's by telling people to look you up at
the I Tunes Store...good stuff! Take care!  Bob

Pass on my regards for an excellent concert last night at Middle Earth.
That was a kick ass preformance by you all and everyone loved it
especially the drum solo you did....WOW.....keep it up and have a great
trip.  You'll knock em dead in Liverpool with the way you guys are playing...
looking forward to your next gig....have a pint on me.  Magic Jack

See you Wednesday around 8.00 pm. Cheers...and knock `em stiff !!
Sam (Leach, The Beatles original promoter)

I'll see you at the Cavern Pub on Wednesday. Cheers, Sam (Leach, The
Beatles original promoter)

I'm really pleased your trip was so successful. Everyone I spoke with
agreed The Rocking Chairs were extra-special. Have a safe trip back
home and keep me posted on future events. Love to Nancy (xxxx)...and
ALL the ladies with you.  The fellas too...Best regards-Sam (Leach, The
Beatles original promoter)

I submitted Slow Down to the last weekly show - episode #75 - you got
the opening spot. It's in iTunes (AMPed New Music Weekly), or can be
heard at Darkhorse Radio. Alan

You showman, you!  I was almost on the floor laughing when you stood
up during your drum solo!  That was most excellent, Mike!  The old guy
still has it! :) You are THE smokin' hot drummer! Stef

Dear Rocking Chairs, In case you hadn't noticed, we had a total blast
dancing to your band. There is really nothing like the shot in the arm that
turned-up amps can give, when blasting out old favorites that one rarely
hears played live any more. Thank you for making us feel nowhere near
30 years out of college. I felt like I couldn't help turning all engines on
forward thrust until the plug was pulled. (In fact, the timing worked out
just fine, giving the old farts more time at their seats and the more young
at heart [the few, the proud, the dancers] less chance of really hurting
themselves on overdrive.) I am still a little stiff in the neck and my
laryngitis from yelling all the lyrics at full volume is starting to subside two
days later. So, thanks. Folks were already asking for a repeat in 5 years
(maybe with oxygen stations on the side) and complementing me and
the committee on a terrific party. Sincerely, David Torrey , Darmouth-77

I absolutely love "Magic Jack". Keep on rockin... Carol

hanks for letting me have a Rocking Chairs CD. There's no way that I
deserve a mention in the liner notes, but it will certainly make the CD a bit
special for me. (A friend of mine plays in a pub band called 'Shades of
Gray') I look forward to hearing the Rockers album best wishes from over
here. Alan www.DarkhorseRadio.com

Keep on playing dude...you guys are phenomenal! Bill

Congrats on another cd! I have been on your email list for a long time
and am so excited for you guys. Shades of Gray is so funny, and I'm sure
appropriate! HAHA!! I laugh because I'm in my fifties and going on a new
adventure with my songs that are about, for a good part, about older
people, boomer related great stuff that no one else wants to sing about. I
have a super time making people laugh and think about our wonderful
opportunity to enjoy our age.
Anyway good luck with YOUR great adventure, I'll order my cd soon.
Thanks for keepin' the faith! Lynn

Btw, I LOVE THE CD!!!  Bought one for me and one for my friend. Stef

that is awesome! What a treat to have your song played over and over like
that. I never mentioned to you that the one small criticism I have for your
new album actually involves Broken and that is that I love it so much, it's
just not long enough on the album and it leaves me wanting more! ha ha.
Mindy

You know, Mike, of all the songs on your new CD, I think I really enjoyed
that one (Broken) the most of all.  Chuck and I were watching a live
concert DVD of David Gilmore's and Broken reminded me of his music.
Broken has a calming, eye-closing effect, something to listen to in the
bedroom, for whatever purpose pleases you! :) Stef

give em hell !!! beat them tubs!!!!! happy new year bro !!! god bless ya!
hugs rich-Pirates of The Mississippi

powerful solid sounds in your bloody good page, men!! i really like them!

Listened to the Darkhorse radio excerpt. Top Billing eh ? Good stuff-Dave

best of luck on your project      we've always been stars

What a tribute, thanks!! The song itself is incredible and this from my wife
who is a rock fan as far back as her days at Woodstock, so if she likes it
you have a winner. The debut was a blast but the CD version is even
better.

Thanks and as I said as long as you keep singing I'll keep you standing
and sitting.....Magic Jack

DAMN HOT sHAME sHAME sHAME!

Woo-hoo!!!!  I must say, I think that this is one of your best songs...  You
guys really wail on this song!  Ron is incredible...

What is that hanging on Craig's microphone?  An oxygen bottle or an
IV??  ;>)

You guys rock and roll don't you?  I can picture you all on stage having a
great time.  Party rock band!  I like the song and now I'll play the others!

YOU GO, MIKEY!!!!  Those sticks were flying, baby!  Too cool for words, I
would
have loved to have been out there screaming in the audience!  What
song were you playing?

About "Magic Jack," WOW!!!!  Another song where I can't sit still!  I am very
impressed with your first attempt at song-writing. Your musicianship is
again superior and I love the simulated "trip" with the voices in the
background...  Really cool.  "I'm serious as a heart attack!"

Well done!  Can't wait to hear the rest!

Wow! Not only are you on the way up…but now you are a sell out!! Way to
go after your dreams!

-love what I've heard .From my own selfish point of view wish you weren't
sold out at Middle Earth

-Middle Earth "Rocked" = Never expected to enjoy the show to the point I
am even giving feedback. All around performances outstanding. I will be
buying your CD's and passing the word on.

-Wish I could have been there. Been listening to your music while
working on my 16 acres....gets me going as my black lab Emma loves
your tunes also. My wife Lisa loves your sound also !!! Waiting for that
North Cal gig !! Will be first in line for tickets. You guys rock ,

-Hey Mike, that looks like a great gig...but what's all this 3 hour business?

-YOU GUYS LOOK GOOD ON STAGE. I'M SO GLAD YOU GOT BACK
INTO YOUR MUSIC. YOUR DRUMS LOOK AWESOME.
-What a blast! Bet you guys were tired, huh? Wish I could have been
there...

-That sounds exhausting, not to mention it is combined with the
adrenalin rush. It has got to be so satisfying, though. A happy
exhaustion...Can't wait for your new CD!

-Awesome New Tracks = I just got on your MySpace page for the first
time last night. I love the two new songs. I don't know if you know but
Jumpin' Jack Flash was a song that I requested you guys to cover. I'll be
honest I am not a huge Stones fan, but that is my favorite of theirs. I never
imagined it could sound that good. You guys rock. Ron, I love your guitar
solo. I searched CDBaby artists looking for a new rock or blues guitar
that sounds good. My search unfortunately came up empty. But, last night
I found one that gave me goose bumps - you. Keep it up, please and your
additions make me eager to hear your own stuff. Give it to me. Now for
Red House. This tune by Jimi is one of my favorite songs of all time. I
was not anxious to hear how you guys might handle this as I thought the
version on his Blues album was perfect. Upon hearing several notes, I
instantly warmed up to your version and was almost mesmerized by this
stylistic effort. Half way through, I realized Holy **** Jim sounds awesome
too. Great job all around boys. Two of my favorites for sure. Good luck at
the show. Wish I could be there. -Ty

-Great review! It was obvious he enjoyed you too!

-Congratulations Mike... You guys are rockin'! Let me know when you play
in Orange County..I'll come see your concert!

-Just FANTASTIC it couldn't have been improved if you had written it
yourselves, Just wonderful. You must be feeling so proud of yourselves
and if not you most certainly should be. It makes great reading doesn't it,
sincere CONGRATULATIONS from all the KAPPA gang and families.

-Excellent review!  Do you have any tour dates for California?

-YOU GUYS ARE AMAZING!!! WHAT A FAN CLUB YOU HAVE GOING...

-Yes, I saw the paper. It's the talk of the town. I can't go anywhere without
someone mentioning the jackhammer situation. I wish it would just go
away but unfortunately I guess it won't. I just received a certified letter
from legal council for the folks upstairs concerning "noise pollution." (Ed.
Note: response from the club owner after we played.....the cops were
called and they used a jackhammer on the floor upstairs to try and
disrupt our music.............didn't work!)

-Excellent! I just read the review as well. You should be proud! Three
hour show??????? WOW I'm still trying to think of gigs for Kappa in the
fall in Chicago...the fuel prices are so darn high so it's a drawback! Great
show for you guys.

-That was a brilliant review Mike. I felt that I was there. Keep on rockin!

-ALL OF YOU MUST BE ON SUCH A HIGH!!!!!!! VERY COOL MIKE, VERY
COOL.

-You guys really ROCK!!!! That is an awesome article. Congratulations-
wish I could have been there.

-I'M JUST SO PROUD OF YOU & JIM FOR LIVING A DREAM. PLAY ON,
PLAY LOUD & PLAY HARD!! WISH I COULD BE THERE WITH YOU,
THATS THE WAY LIFE GOES. LATER BC

-Looks like performing at Middle Earth could get to be a habit! Very cool!

-I've been gettin your emails  you guys are stirrin' it up havin too much
fun....good luck! The new single is" kickin up dust "get your country fans
to tell the country radio station up there to play it!!hope we get up your way
soon.seeya back! rich (Ed. Note: From the hit country group Pirates of
The Mississippi.)

-By the way, who needs Jimmy Hendrix, anyway! You've got Ron Barale
and Jim Lusby! Outstanding rendition of Red House!

-Sounds good Mike. See you later this Summer. Cheers, Sam.

-You guys are great. I love Hendrix.  Don

-Red House, one of my favorite Jimi Hendrix songs. You guys smoke.
Thanks for sending over the clip. You sounded great!  Doug Avilla.

-Hey Mike!! Love it! I'm sending it to my list AND my bandmates. You guys
have such a cool blues sound. I'm so glad you're going forward with your
dream. Believe me, it reminds me to keep going...no matter what my
family thinks!! HAHA.. I can't wait to see you in Cali. Keep the videos
coming, Lynn (Jamie Lyn) Osborne of "BlueHair"

-Cool! This is great.  Doing wthat you love..... doesn't get better than that!!!
Pam

-VERY COOL, JIM CAN SING HIS BUTT OFF!!! GREAT!! JUST GREAT!!! I
LOVE IT.

-I am looking forward to your new songs!  Oh, I may have forgotten to tell
you, but I loved Craig's article!  Made me laugh many times!

-This is so great!!!!!  Aren't you jazzed????  Who would have thought after
all these years you would see something like this on a "PAUL McCartney"
site.  I hope you don't mind but I have been bragging a bit to my friends.
They are impressed.  I have also passed around your CD.  I am waiting
for it to come back from one of my friends.  They need to buy their own.

-What fantastic news about your show being a sell out, but was there
ever any doubt, Congratulations from all the Kappa camp. You'll go down
a storm. So glad you like the tracks and thank you so much for asking

-I thoroughly enjoyed your write-up of the bands birth/practice/dreams &
eventual fun break- thru w/the gigs in Liverpool & at the Cavern.   Your
humor and relaxed but up-beat good cheer show thru well, and you
sewed the whole band experience up well with the ‘dream come true’
comments about Mike’s obvious reward for helping make a childhood
dream come thru (haven’t most of us w/musical talent and or drive, had
some kind of similar desire??).

-You are living the dream! Good for you! PS good luck with your CD.

-I'm glad John has inspired you and that you're band has realized its
dream. That's wonderful that you've played The Cavern Club just like the
boys did. I have some wonderful memories from their of me and John,
Paul, George, Ringo, Pete Best, and of Course sweet Maureen she was
a regular there. I haven't been to Liverpool in a while I miss it terribly but
Paris is my home now. Wishing you and you're band all the best. Cyn

-I'm an A&R scout for several labels and music supervisors here in
Hollywood, CA. Im reaching out to you because the music on your
myspace site is being considered by our A&R staff for a potential label or
publishing deal.

-I'm always eager to talk to beatle fans New and old. Carol and Diane
sound familar I might have chatted with them once or twice at the Cavern
before Brian band Dot and I from the club. Old Billy sat down and had a
pint with you? That's wonderful he used to do that with the boys all the
time. Hope to talk to you again. Cyn

-Cyn has mentioned you and your band a couple of times over the phone
and on myspace. I'm so glad the boys inspired you I'm very glad you
enjoy there music, and I'll be happy to look at your bands page. Greetings
from England. Patti

-By the way, your music sounds great!!   i wanted to let you know i'm
delighted that you are putting in your own material now. i can't wait to
hear what you're doing. I think you'd be brilliant with originals.   Thanks so
much for promoting "KAPPA" as always, I'm very grateful. A bloke from
Liverpool in the US asked to be "KAPPA'S" friend and there was a picture
of him on the cavern stage and we accepted him of course and I
commenced to tell him in a extra large message all about the "Rocking
Chairs" and their dream of playing the Cavern and how they achieved it
and what good friends we have become.     Paul

-I am already a Rocking Chairs friend . they seem very cool.

-Hey, Chairs!!! thanks for dropping in. ...so what are you up to? I'll keep
rockin if you do. congrats & all the best, Brian.

-I am putting a 2 day "Summer of Love 40" festival together in Liverpool...
New YORK that is....suburb of Syracuse...in June 2007. 60's and early
70's music - I plan on having a 'Beatles Day' at this juncture. I am trying
valiently to build a sister city relationship with Liverpool UK, and working it
in with power boat races, and arts fair, etc. in the village of Liverpool.
Would you be interested in performing a set if I got you hotel and food? i
will enlist the help of my buds terry sylvester & joey mollan to do hollies &
badfinger stuff.... Paul, www.thefab-five.com

-P-town boy makes good finally! You all are looking and sounding great!
What a thrill to play the Cavern! I will be following you online, on Myspace
and website. Who knows, maybe someday I'll attend a concert!
Best of Luck!

-Mike, I doubt you remember me, but we lived next door to each other
growing up. You were a bit scary for us sheltered little girls, but I can see
you have led a fascinating life, and have a great, solid family life. Our dad
was pretty strict about the music we were allowed to listen to, and had a
thing against "hippies" so it was tough growing up in that era in our
household. Which was interestingly odd, when I found out that my
cousin, David Parker, was a manager for the Grateful Dead!! Great
Website!!

-Mike, Geez,  What a kick to hear that you are back in the music biz.  A
place yo always should have been.  Sounds like you are having a great
time.

-Mike, I got a big kick out of reading all the attached articles about your
band. Heck, from the pictures, you guys don't like you've aged much at
all!! Heck, we should hire your band to play! That would be very cool. All
my best to you both, and continued success with the band. Take care!

We all feel as you do about meeting up again it will be so good when it
happens, so keep the gigs rolling in to get the funds together to come
back soon. Your page is fantastic. The animation of the girl dancing fits
perfectly with your music, it's brilliant, just brilliant.

-Looking forward to seeing you in Orange County California!!! Great
Register article- I'm hooked!! Never heard of you before reading the
Register article.   Will attend any concert in the O.C., and am buying the
CD now.   Love your logo. Reminds me of CCR.

-Thank for for writing such an entertaining article about your band and
their appearance at the Cavern club in Liverpool. First, I'm just a couple of
years older than you, so I appreciate the bravado it takes to try and do the
impossible when over 50. It's tough to have big dreams at this age.
Second, the article was very well written and I kept re-checking the credit
line to see if it was by Dave Barry, who is one of my favorite writers.

Keep up the good work at the Register, and good luck in your band's
musical sidelines. Congratulate the other musicians. Keep on dreaming.
-Please send me info on purchasing the "tour T-Shirt" from the Liverpool
Tour.  Not only was that a way cool gig, being that I'm 57 and totally
understand and am a little jealous that you got to play there, but the T-
Shirt is very, very, cool, and I would wear it with pride. Us old-geezers
gotta stick together. And, the article in the O.C. Register was inspiring.
Three thumbs up, way up!!!    Also, add me to your mailing list. I tried to
"check" the box, but it wouldn't let me.    Thanks    Daddy-O

-great article.  What an experience you guys had.

-What a great article.  I had to wipe a tear or two away whilst reading it. I
already knew how important the gig was to you but your words made me
realise just how much it really meant. I'm so happy for you all, you should
be really proud that you achieved your dream.  Thanks for plugging
KAPPA, the lads will be grateful for that.Well done and I'm sure there are
plenty more good times ahead for you all.

-I am in a simular situation....we only practice once a week. Have always
loved playing. Drummer s 47,I am 46.Guitar player is 37,and bassist is
25.Of course the bass player  ( single ) is up for playing out..as is the
drummer ( divorced ), but that would be a hard sell for me to my wife.
That and the fact that our singing takes a bit of getting used to.Bottom
line when we are ready what ever happens is going to happen. Thanks
for the inspiration....

-What a great article! I am of "that age" and loved every word of it! I listen
to classic gold digital radio on the Internet and I frequently exchange e-
mails with one of the DJ's.  I gotta send this to him!

-We enjoyed your article in the OC Register this morning.  It was so nice
reading a funny, positive article instead of the usual gloom and doom
news that seem to be so prevalent. I began reading it and smiling and
ended up reading the entire article out loud to my husband.  We chuckled
at the funny parts and were happy when we read that your band fulfilled
their dream of playing at the Cavern. Thanks for writing such a fun,
positive piece.  Hope you decide to write more.
Congratulations on the fulfillment of your dreams.

-What a great article in the Sunday OC Register. Pretty cool stuff. I glad
that you guys were able to fulfill a dream that really seemed unattainable.
It's refreshing to see good things happen. As for me, I'm just an old guy
with a bad back that twanks, buzzes and sings off key every chance I get.
Keep on truck'en boys.

- I just bought your CD at the General store, saturday, & just wanted to
drop a line & say I've been enjoying it a lot.  I especially like the
cosmic/echochamber-like sound & the "really into it" vibes that come thru
your music.

-Hi guys...I just listened to your single on myspace.com...you sound great!

-RAW Review: I enjoyed this music tremendously. I got my Rocking
Chairs Cd and slammed the music into my soul by listening to it about
six times through (my usual anlysis method). It reminded me of many
things, many artists, nostalgic moments from the past, and I liked it. I'd so
love to have a studio quality cd of their stuff because their energy is great
and the songs get your body wanting to move. Thanks guys, keep on
rocking.

-This is all good stuff isnt it. I would love so much to be in Bradford for

-Incredible energy with a passion for "Rock & Roll"
Reviewer: Jeff
Right from the start, the Rocking Chairs grabbed my interest and got me
moving. Their energy and passion for Rock & Roll was extremely evident.
I enjoyed the mix of Blues intertwined into the cd. My high school and
middle school sons both put tracks onto their iPod devices. Keep up the
good work!

-This is such great news, what a thrill for you to hear your sounds on the
radio.  We are all so happy for you.  This is only the start of  even better
things to come, I'm sure.  Your web page is looking fantastic as well, I
